On February 28, Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the 2018 QS World University Rankings, which ranks 48 subjects of more than 1,100 universities in 151 countries. By subject, NAU is ranked 47th in Agriculture & Forestry, which is the first time for NAU to be listed among the top 50. Its Biological Sciences is ranked in the bracket of 401st and 450th, while Life Sciences & Medicine is listed between 451st and 500th.
QS World University Rankings is one of the most authoritative and representative university rankings in the world. In 2010, its rankings have been approved by the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, an organization founded by UNESCO. As one of the foremost university rankings, QS World University Rankings measures universities by such metrics including academic reputation, employer reputation and citations per faculty. This year, a total of 576 subjects of 73 Chinese universities are ranked among the top 500.
