NAU Kicks Off Student Joint Program with Free State Province, South Africa

Recently, NAU, launched by Jiangsu Provincial Office of International Affairs and Department of Education, officially initiated the student joint program with Free State Province, South Africa.

During the Kickoff meeting, NAU Vice President, Prof Shen Qirong warmly welcomed the South African officials and students, briefly introduced NAU’s history, current development and internationalization, and wished all the students success at NAU. Afterwards, South African representatives gave speeches.

Free State Province, one of the most important Agricultural Provinces in South Africa, established the sister province with Jiangsu Province in 2000. In January, 2014, NAU negotiated the joint program with Free State Province, and firstly sponsored 60 South African students to study at NAU. The Students learn Chinese language for 15 months, and then study for degree programs. NAU also set up Scholarships for some excellent students, besides that, talents training, joint labs and Science extension will be wholly developed between two parties.
