NAU Held Seminar on Agricultural Information Technology Application for Asian Countries

The closing ceremony for Seminar on Agricultural Information Technology Application for Asian Countries was held on May 29 at NAU. NAU Vice President, Prof Shen Qirong and Prof Cheng Tao attended on the ceremony. Dean of COIE, Prof Zhang Hongsheng presided over the ceremony.

Shen Qirong congratulated the trainees on successfully completing the training and gave a summary on the seminar. He said that through the seminar, the trainees not only explored the strategies to deepen international agricultural information technology cooperation, but also had field trips in Guizhou Province and Beijing. He hoped the trainees to keep in touch with NAU and further develop the agricultural cooperation with China after returning to their own countries. Afterwards, Mr Peria Ronald from the Philippines and Prof Cheng Tao delivered short speeches on behalf of the students and the lectures respectively.

The seminar is sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by NAU. 21 agricultural officials from 8 Asian countries attended the seminar. The Lecturers include Professors from College of Agriculture, College of Economics and Management, College of Animal Science and Technology, College of Food Science and Technology, experts from Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce and Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
