About the Speaker:
Dr. Toshiro ITO is Professor at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan. His research is focused on signaling and epigenetic control in stem cell maintenance, environmental response and flower development in plants. His lab works on (I) floral stem cell homeostasis, (II) stem cell termination and cell specification, (III) environmental response and acclimation, and (IV) mechanisms of dominant/recessive relationships in plants. Currently he is the Editorial board member of “Plant and Cell Physiology”, “Frontiers in Plant Evolution and Development” and “Frontiers in Plant Genetics and Genomics”,and International Committee Member of the Japanese Society of Plant Physiologists.
